The Gargano area is located in the spur of Italy’s boot and boasts a territory rich in history, archaeological sites and several natural features. The area, protected for its biodiversity, is the perfect destination for those looking for pristine scenarios. The term “Gargano” derives from the ancient Greek word “gargaros”, meaning “mountain of stone”. The name was well suited, and is still the case, to the Gargano peninsula. All of the activities available are unique journeys that will lead you into the heart of local culture and traditions, and from where you can fully experience the most authentic colors and flavors of the Gargano. Guided tours The Gargano National Park is a protected area which boasts a rich collection of different natural habitats; it is an amazing mosaic of biodiversity.
